SIGNAL PROCESSING: THE STEALTH TECHNOLOGY
Signal processing has had a long and rich history and is destined to for the indefinite future. The technology of signal processing is pervasive in a broad spectrum of applications. Because it is typically realized in the form of algorithms and mathematics it tends to be "invisible" to the typical user. In this talk I will be commenting on some of the directions in which I see signal processing evolving both in terms of the underlying mathematics and the implementation platform. I also will be commenting on how digital learning technology is impacting how I teach signal processing and how digital learning technology may impact the future of universities.
